a few words of comfort in some hard times

Today i was sitting in my room writing down some verses in a journal that a special somebody gave me. as i wrote i was listening to some music by the newsboys. then the song "when the tears fall" came on. it almost made me cry. it spoke to me right away. its amazing how something as simple as a song can be so encourging when you are down. so i thought i'd share the lyrics with ya'll. hope they mean as much to you as they do to me.

I've had questions
Without answers?
I’ve known sorrow
I have known pain
But there’s one thing
That I’ll cling to
You are faithful
Jesus you’re true
When hope is lost
I’ll call You Savior
When pain surrounds
I’ll call You healer
When silence falls
You’ll be the song within my heart
In the lone hour
Of my sorrow
Through the darkest night of my soul
You surround me
And sustain me
My defender for ever more
When hope is lost
I’ll call You Savior
When pain surrounds
I’ll call You healer
When silence falls
You’ll be the song within my heart
And I will praise you
I will praise you
When the tears fall
Still I will sing to you
And I will praise you
Jesus praise you
Through the suffering
Still I will sing
When hope is lost
I’ll call You Savior
When pain surrounds
I’ll call You healer
When silence falls
You’ll be the song within my heart
Oh You’re so good to me
You’ve always been good to me
So trustworthy
When hope is lost
I’ll call You Savior
When pain surrounds
I’ll call You healer
When silence falls
You’ll be the song within my heart
And I will praise you
I will praise you
When the tears fall
Still I will sing to you
And I will praise you
Jesus praise you
Through the suffering
Still I will sing
How faithful and true
You sustain me through and through
You are hope and truth
You’re my spring of living water
You’re my spring of living water
In the lone hour You are there
Lord in my sorrow You are there
You are my healer

not a huge newsboys fan but that's a good song. listened to it on my first thanksgiving trip when i moved to iowa...after getting stuck twice and spending the night in bloomington, il. it's a good reminder to praise God all the time, not just when we're feeling happy.

praise the Lord for your stand against peer pressure - ie the dipping. this is no small thing, when everyone does it. and also encouraging yourself in the Lord. Good for you! The world will not cheer you on for that - we, your Christian brothers and sisters support you.
